You Are A Gift

A photo series for Original Magazine’s first print issue.

In this intimate portrait series I explore the complex relationship women have with self-worth through a compelling visual metaphor.

The series challenges the persistent notion that women must constantly enhance, improve, or modify themselves to be deemed valuable.

Through this work, we confront an uncomfortable truth: how often do women wait for external validation before celebrating themselves? How many of us postpone joy, waiting to become some "better" version before we feel worthy of appreciation?

"You are a Gift" stands as both an affirmation and a gentle rebellion. It declares that women need not wait for permission to celebrate themselves, need not add ornamental flourishes to prove their worth.
